Anzola is a small Municipality close to Bologna 15 minutes by train. The project in Anzola involves the Youth Center, Library and schools based there. The volunteer will be involved in the activities of the territory, in network with other organisations and institutions. Mainly the volunteer will carry out local initiatives with young people like thematic workshops, outdoor games, excursions, exhibitions, activities connected with art and culture, supporting the work of the staff of the Municipality and local volunteers. As local impact, thanks to the presence of international volunteers the local community can develop a particular sensitivity and interest towards European issues. In fact, the daily presence of European volunteers contributes to the realization of local activities, stimulating in the local youngsters new interests, open-mindedness and curiosity towards new cultures, and also a different evaluation of their own territory, fostering a more positive approach to foreign language learning and practicing. This also improve the awareness of being European citizens and motivate them to propose themselves as protagonists in their community. Volunteer should have interest in small communities and their development, social issues, sensitivity towards European main topics. Previous experience in the field of entertainment would also give us an interesting opportunity for sharing best practices. Basic knowledge of Italian is needed. Good knowledge of English is a plus. |
| Accommodation description | The accommodation is the guest house of the Municipality. Volunteer will have a single/double room, private toilet in the room. From time to time, depending on particular local events, other guests can be hosted in the accommodation. Each room has its own key and the privacy of each person will be respected. |

| Closest airport/travel direction | Bologna is the closest airport. Volunteer can also land at the airport of Milan, Venice, Rome and then take a train to Bologna. From Bologna the volunteer can take to regional train, available every 20 minutes. |
